It's not nearly as advanced as what you'd expect from Super Smash Bros.
WII POKEPARK 2 MOD
I feel very proud that I was able to finally make a Wii mod pack from scratch of one of my favorite games and for a game that no one has ever modded. I also did a lot of vertexing by editing the bone scaling. Textures aren't really what I'm interested in anyway. I tried to recolor a Pokémon in PokéPark 2 to make it shiny, but I didn't have the picture editing skills to be able to do that. The only things that I could edit were really simple textures, which include stuff for menus and models with very simple texture mappings, such as the box that I textured above.
WII POKEPARK 2 MODS
I was also disappointed about not finding any mods for PokéPark 2 on the internet, and I wanted to change that and publish a mod pack. Sound familiar? I freaking LOVED those 2D Mario-esque elements, and I REALLY, REALLY wished there were many more areas like those, especially if they were even more 2D Mario-esque.Īnd so, just like how SMWCentral likes to mod Super Mario World because we love it and we want more, I wanted to mod PokéPark 2 because I love it and I want more. There are even some areas in PokéPark 2 where you're placed in a 2.5D environment and you have to get from Point A to Point B in an area by running, jumping, swimming, and dodging obstacles within a time limit. I've always wanted a Pokémon platformer, and this is kind-of it.) You could say that the gameplay elements are kind-of 3D Mario and 3D Zelda-esque. (I'm very glad for the platforming, and I really wish there was more. However, the gameplay elements in PokéPark are elements that I've ALWAYS wanted to see in a Pokémon game for the longest time, such as real time Pokémon battles, controlling Pokémon in a 3D environment that's not tile based, even a little platforming. It has a lot of gameplay elements that have never been seen in the Pokémon series until PokéPark. The gameplay of the PokéPark series is MUCH different than the type of gameplay that Pokémon is mostly associated with. I really like the PokéPark series so much. (I even used the Riivolution XML from that mod pack as a base for PokéPark 2's Riivolution XML.) (No, Gecko OS codes ONLY don't count in this case.) I found a pack for Mario Party 9 that has texture edits and even animation edits in it. Wii and all of those other popular ones, and I can't really seem to find any. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros. I go on the internet sometimes to see if there are any mods for games other than Super Smash Bros. I don't know if it's because the game is so unpopular or it's hard to mod or what. Honestly, I have no idea why no one has thought of modding PokéPark 2 before. There's a pack farther down for you to download. I modded the Wii game, PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond.
